Performance mod for subaru?

Is their any cheap modifications I could do to my subaru impreza 1.5i front wheel drive apart from changing the engine? I already have induction kit, exhaust, upgraded fuel pump, racing chip. Does any1 hav ny ideas please would be handy to know. :subaru:

what racing chip do u have in it and were did u get it i have a 1.6 so i would get 1,you shud get light weight pulleys japspeed do them for 103 euro

If you are looking for more power, then honestly, the best thing you could do would be to sell it and upgrade to a wrx, and in time, an sti. You will end up spending a heap of money on the 1.5 for little or no return.

Not to sound harsh, then you have already spent too much money on it. As said above. Very little gain in modding a 1.6. Go for a WRX.

lads hes not askin wat u think he should buy!its about makin wat u have better no 1 expects to have huge gains

there isnt much you can buy that would be worth while. keep the money and save up towards a wrx or sti. nobody wants to see you throwing money at pointless mods, like pulleys or fuel pumps. Sure im still on standard fuel pump and making over 300 bhp. one thing could try is get rid of the racing trip and get a remap. it would make the best of the mods you already have

Paptor performance , look them up , specialist in supercharging n/a imprezas ,

consider suspension and brake upgrades , the 1.5 aint the fastest car ever but bigger brakes and stiffer suspension will make it easier to carry the speed further and through the corners ,

Think what everyone needs to remember is buying an sti or wrx isn't an option open to everyone for many reasons , many would say i "wasted" 34k on a r sport but i wanted an impreza and couldnt run an sti at the time :subaru:

murf8969 jus type performance chip subaru into ebay theirs loads of different 1s. Thanks for the replys i'll tink of something So far the light weight pulleys sound good. and am not buying a supercharger. a turbo melts the pistons i can amagine what a supercharger will do.

Id keep my money rather than buy pulleys, i can safely say you will see more performance increase if you leave your Cd collection at home.
Your looking at tuning n N/A CAR, so relaistically BHP PER EURO gain is going to bad... Only cheap things you can do is mess around with exhaust, intake. And at the end of all that your at nothing really as the Non Turbo impreza wasnt decide to be fast, its too heavy for 1.5, 1.6, even 2ltrs are bad.
Id be carefull who advises you on your mod spends aswell, how do you justify putting in an upgraded fuel pump for example? What gain is there to have from this?

Pure class Ken...

@ michael... I'd listen to what the lads are saying. You'll only waste your money trying to mod a 1.5. Enjoy the car for what it is and when you can get the funds together spend it on a car with a better base for tuning... a WRX for instance!

If you look the 30% bhp increase is all based on 2ltr and 2.5... even then lets be optimistic and say your 1.5 has 150bhp.. 30% increase is a ground trembling 45bhp for the cost of 4100 dollars on that site.
Its just a no go.. as Jaime said.. enjoy the car for what it is as it will never be quick, like spending a fortune on a Donkey and bringing it to the grand national... results wont be good as you just dont have a good base to start with

You'll be throwing money into a hole 'til you're blue in the face dude. Then you'll look back and cry over it and say "FFS, with all that money I could have bought a <Insert Vehicle>".

Enjoy it as it is or sell it on and buy a WRX at least.

How about an K+N induction kit, and a decent cat back exhaust.
Thats all id be doing on an n/a car with that type of engine, subaru or whatever and thats just for a better sound, not power. Maybe a fse boost valve,

If i had a 1.5 hawk, id spend the cash on exterior mods and interior.
Easy to make your car look great with a few tasty mods, not halfords.

Id smoke the headlights and fogs.
Sti splitter,
Roof vent
Wrc mirrors,
Coilovers or springs,
18in wide black/black chrome alloys
Black mudflaps
Lose the rear spoiler
Add a roof spoiler
Debadge
