Realising its not quite the savings they had thought they would be.
WAGON DEC said:I think all diesels are a headache unless your doin big mileage avoid them at all costs .the sooner they start selling high efficiency petrol engines like fords eco boost ,fiat twinair, etc the better everyone has been sucked by diesel pr which for the normal sub 16000 kms per year car is not accurate .at below that mileage your better off in petrol cars ,far less maintenance on them per mile that's a fact.
No but I work on the cunts every dayNiallyboy said:Dec are you sure you weren't over taken by a diesel on the way to

NIall.

we are there in technology but not in mind set our car importers and media push us towards the fuel consumption figures and headline running cost of diesel like now the new transit has a 50,000km service interval how many would trust there engine with the same oil for 50k I know I would not . they cost a lot to run in servicing cost and maintenance like turbos, injectors, flywheels, dpf etc. anyone here buying a second hand diesel car will face some or all of the above they have a reliable life of 80-100,000 miles then need major overhaul that's the facts of them so I would love to see more petrol cars back on the roadsDagnut said:The straight 6 turbo in the M135i has 320bhp and does 37mpg. ...the 1.8 turbo in the A45 AMG produces 345bhp and does 40mpg..we are already there as far as efficiency goes.
