The maxol is 156.9 i think :undecided:

I would rather pay 4 cent a litre more for e5 and know I have good petrol in the car especially when there's 2 Maxol garages inttown there

The thing about petrol is that it is all the same and all different .
The petrol for all petrol brands all comes from nearest local refinery of which there are about 8 around the UK. the only difference is the additives put in at the refinery for increasing octane / cleaning products etc. for a particular fuel.
Now Grangemouth is owned by BP but if you fill up with shell v power up north it was made by BP not shell , shell just put there additives in it at the refinery when the taker is filled to make the generic petrol into v power. The same goes on all over the UK .
The refineries are owned by various companies ,not sure who they all are now but not all names you would recognise like SHELL /BP / ESSO etc
All the refineries make petrol within the given standards for petrol in the UK so this is why I say they are all the same but at the same time they are all different because when you buy V power down south it will have been made by a different refinery to a standard then shell put there additives in to make it V power . As is the same for all other variants of petrol brands.

the difference between vpower and standard shell 95 in the uk and say texaco 95ron versus maxol e5 in ireland is the point id be making about the 4 cent a litre ,

Nearly all petrol now is 5% ethanol apparently, and nearly all about 96.5ron. Would like to see someone mapped for E5 try a dose of a tenners worth of other oetrol and see if its still a big difference.

Maxol now 152.9 also...just filled up with e5. Result

Still the best part of 10c difference between petrol and diesel in drogheda. Petrol between 1.63 and 1.67 in the Maxols.

Got stuck on the way back from scoobfest Robbie, stuck a tenner in at an apple station on the m1,
Everything seemed ok, no check engine light, had to put another 10 in at apple in rathnew to ensure I got home and again no warning from the check engine light when on boost

A steady 161.9 in Maxol on Celbridge the last while, diesel still a few cent cheaper though.

You reckon its safe enough then? I mapped mine on standard Esso pump fuel with the meth as there's just no maxol around but good to know if its all the same around now anyway.
