Is it just me or do some deliberately rip you off??

I'm always very careful whether I put €20, €30, €40 into the car that I only go exactly to the euro but I find specific petrol stations I visit never stops exactly on the euro mark.

For example, this morning I intended to put €30 of petrol into the car but when I was just getting carefully to the euro it went slowly 97, 98, 99, to 30.01. Jumped the 2 cent from nowhere so fook it i said I'll throw in €40 and it did exactly the same thing :angry1: :angry1: :angry1:

Now I know most will say that its only a cent but it fooking seriously annoyed me, purely for the principle of it and because its only 1 or 2 petrol stations I find it happens in, I never have a problem in most of the others I would frequent.

Just had to get it off my chest. Rant over :smile:
 
That happens alot more with smaller stations in the Dublin Area than anywhere else i have been lately


I thought it was just me so i brought it up in conversation with a few people lately and they all sayin they noticed the same thing
 
The one this morning was the Apple green station just off the M1 (exit 5) on the old Balbriggan road. Its quite a big station so should be reputable or so I would have thought.

I'm glad its not just me, its seriously infuriating :angry1: :angry1:
 
They always let me away with the extra 0.01c (sometimes 0.02c!) in my local Maxol,
Maybe because i feel like i have shares in since E5 was invented?!!
 
Put 50 euro into the car on Sunday in maxol near addamstown it's my local and drove off completely forgot to pay
I'll have to go around tomorrow.

Robbie I just had in the notes as in 20 if I intended to but in 20 even ifI go 2 to 5 cent over and no one ever says anything.
 
I just fill it to the brim and put it on the credit card.
€83.83 this evening at €1.599 per litre (Topaz)..... :new_puppy_dog_eyes:
In fairness, it will take me to 600+km which is great so can't complain.
(Actually got 620km from the last fill which was to the brim as well.)
 
You know whats wrong there Robbie?

You've lost all the sensitivity in your fingers so can't accurately control the pressure you exert now on the handle.

I'll throw you a euro next time i see you Rob, that should cover you on your petrol and you will have one less worry in your life :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
