some deadly looking reptiles lads
@lee,yeah i feed him crickets and mealworms, which have been dusted in the calcium powder
they have also been feed the fruit and veg,my dragon loves to eat celery leaves and i just got
him a tub of small grasshoppers, some craic watching him chase them,he loves the bath
@mark they need to be kept hot, mine basks in 38 degrees during the day and about 22 degrees
at night and in terms of handling,my 2yr old lunatic of a son can handle the dragon so they really
are no bother

Trevor u only really need to keep the heat mat on at night, u can turn the uv and the heat lamp off. They are desert lizards so they are used to the cold at night. U should give him some wax worms has a treat as they are full of protien.

@lee,yeah i switch off both the uv and heat lamp at night
i'll have to have a look in the petshop for the wax worms the next day i'm in there so

My brother as a bearded dragon, It does nothing and he had three parana fish to. They where interesting enough. He used to feed them gold fish.

Pirahna's would be cool alright. Never thought about having them.

Apart from gold fish, what would you feed them? Are they high enough maintenance to keep?

He used to give them blood worm only gave them gold fish once a month. Handy enough to keep. Just clean the tank once a month I think.

Should do a 15% water change every week and you get an additive called stress coat to put in the water..pirhana aren't the hardiest of fish and aren't best suited to a clear tank as their natural habitat is dark murky water and reeds..they aren't that exciting either tbh...great fish to keep are oscars...grow fairly large and the fuckers will eat anything we used to give our one whole gold fish and he would wolf it down in one go savage fish..put your finger in and he'll go for it was well..really easy to keep probably survive in your jacks bowl
