Pics of mates 22B #199/400

is it a uk model or jap, could have been just regd in 99.
theres 2 06s down here that came in from the uk and were put down as 07, something to do with dates.

This particular car was imported from new in 1998 but wasnt reg'd till early 99. Came from japan to Bury st. Edmunds-uk reg was T713 MRJ.

Does the 22B actually have a wider track than a type r or is it just the arches??
Are there different suspension components? or diefferent offset wheels?

If you mate likes the wheels then fair enough, but If he is just saving the BBS wheels then he may as well wrap the car in bubble wrap also!
I love 22B's
Dan

Im not sure about the track on them-I do know that spacers had to be used with those wheels, and the standard BBS's look a bit lost in the arches

Had a look at the one in Jap cars Dublin a few weeks back and the look the same as a typeR Dan. The wheel apeared to be the extension.

Not great. I got him to start it and the revs where all avere the place. I had a looking in the water bottle and there was gunk. I think that means head gasket problem. He said It had been fixed in Japan before he brought it in that it was fine now and he'd just have his mechanic have a look at the rev issue. The left wing had been replaced a some stage to. But other then that body wise it was good. Not a 100% original example though.

22B has different components to a type R. Makes the track 20mm wider at the front and 40mm at the rear on each side.
Also wears 235 rubber to fill up the arches.
That one up in jap cars is a mess.
From my experience with them(bought my car there) i wouldnt trust them for a minute. Cowboys :angry1:

Savage 22B, wheels are rank! Surely with his funds he could at least buy a nice set of OZ or Rota's or something!!! Is that the one with the centre console autographed by one C. Mc Rae??

Looks nice and clean. Was this car registered in N Ireland before coming down south?

I had the same issue with mine but the VRT office in Limerick decided it would have to be registered as a 1998 car as they went off the original Jap importation documentation.

@ Dan
The wheels are a different offset which push them out but the hubs are also off a Forester which changes the track as well.
