Petrolheads
Lads ive a 02 Bug sti UK spec car i was told that the power bias is 60 front and 40 to the rear and the jap ones are the opposite.

can anyone confirm :ponder2:

ow and out of curriosity whats urs?

Never heard of it :ponder2:... 50/50 would be more accurate. for the bugeye though not 100% sure...

Chris your Spot on

All Irish / UK Scooby's , have the power bias set something like a
60:40 split in favour of the front

Jap Import TypeR's, TypeRA's etc....... have the power bias set something like
70:30 in favour of the rear :653: :653:...................basically 2 thrids to the rear one thrid to the front
and of course have a DCCD so you can change the lock anywhere from 70:30 (aprox) right up to a full lock of
50:50 ...................Which is for driving on grass, snow, gravel

i want dccd :icon_cry:

24mm adjustable anti-roll bar set to hardest setting with alloy droplinks & loads of negative camber. That'll get the ar$e moving for ya, actually that will probably get your own ar$e twitching too

hi chris i have a bug sti aswell no dccd and i find in the right conditions its fairly easy get the arse out especially in the wet :icon_headbang:
find an open space and practice the scandinavian flick great fun when you get the hang of it

Got my 02 STI bug on the dyno ( no DCCD ) and it shows the power distribution between all 4 wheels.

Mine was i the region of 60 to the front and 40 to the rear

If you really want to check, just get a power run on a dyno... you get graphs for everything including power distribution

is there any bugeyes that have dccd ???
did the s202 have dccd :dontknow:

Doesn't appear so.

Stolen from another website,

The four-wheel-drive system has a mechanical limited slip diff at the back, a 'Suretrack' diff at the front

Wow! 60/40 in favour to the front makes a completely different car!
How does it drive compared to the Type-R? Tonnes of understear in my opinion?
