Power fc version 3 jap impreza.

Cheers lads, how do the auctions work on ebay highest bidder wins and it gets sold at that bid whatever it is(like say 20 quid or something) or can the seller refuse to sell it if he/she is not happy.

and here is the reply:

Dear partsonline001,

how's things mate,
just wondering is there a reserve on this and if so what is it? thanks.

Auctions on ebay work like this,

If there is the reserve then the item will not be sold for less than that price, the reserve price is private untilthe reserve has been reached. It will say reserve not met under the enter bid box.

If there is no reserve or if the reserve has already been met it will not be displayed on the auction.

If the current bid is €10.00, and it says you must enter €11.00 or above to bid, You can enter €50.00 and you will remain the highest bidder until someone bids €51.00 or more. Now everyone else sees the current bid is now €11.00. If the auction ends now then you only pay €11.00. If the auction still has time left then someone else bids €20.00, they will be told straight away they have been outbid (because your max bid is €50.00) but now you will have to pay €21.00 etc.

I hope that makes sense now

Cheers man yea talking to the lad selling it at the mo, won't tell me if there is a reserve but told me to make him an offer .

Oh and to answer your other question, if you are the winning bidder then the seller is oblidged to sell to you, the only way they can get out of it is to tell ebay the item has been damaged etc and is no longer for sale.

If he is asking you make an offer then he will probably just do that to the highest bidder and sell it to you directly, through paypal

Dont bid till the last few mins :wall:

Same as I always do  But you have to bid big to be sure you don't get outbid straight away
