power steering help

lads i need lil help please.... when i turn the wheel im getting like a loud springing sound coming from under the peddles ???? my da reeckons its the power steering but i dont know which part??? or even if he is right anyone have the same experience is it serious ive to drive the car to a wedding on fri and really need the car any help would be great cause i havent a clue what it is cheers

how dose the steering feel ,is it any different might just be something simple check behind the pedals to see if its something simple,ie carpet etc getting caught in it
