The slowest ute is 340 bhp  5.7l V8
There is a 6.0l corvete engined one aswell!
about 22 mpg, 6spd and RWD! you could have a 2001 one on the road here for about €20 odd grand
I looked into it before I bought the golf, I went for the boring sencible option!

They dont do 22mpg or anywhere close to it..and you wont get near an SS ute for 20k...I know the owner of that and it cost a fortune to ship it over by the time it was cleared..BUT you only pay commercial tax on it because its a truck so thats gonna save you 1300 euro every year

I based my estimates on japanese shipping cost!
Is your mates a auto??
The 6spd manual has a really long 6th gear and plenty of power to pull it!
I've never driven one myself or even seen one in the flesh, so I'm just going on what I've read on t'internet,
THe 22mpg could have been what I was telling the wifey when I was trying to justify bringing a "work" car half way around the world :D
Dan

his is the auto..lot of work done on it..the noise of it is incredible..we where spinning down to karting in galway i just turned my stereo off and rolled the window down..it runs around 400bhp without the NOS can run lows 12's on the quarter...as far as mileage goes best not to ask

Didn't make it down myself   sat nite turned into late Sun mornin... all Dagnuts fault :D
ye the Holden is some tool... he's lookin into superchargin it now :eek:mg:
nice pics fair play

i have a name of a company in england that specalise in tuning mad holdens, prob has it already but will put it up tomorrow

Well Lads i had to join since the bro (chriSTI ) has me head bent on scoobys, just a couple of pics and info on the ute ( just the once off since she aint jap sorry ) Lots of work done, set up for drag racing quater in 12 secs, great craic, Pacemaker headers, full system, mafless edit 1 tune, high stall torque converter, 3;9 diff, wet shot NOS, droped on 20's, tricky in the wet but even in the dry its sideways ALL day long.. Looking for a scooby for trackdays at the min, something like chriSTI's would be savage.
