Project fusion [emoji16]

So as some of you know myself and Adrian built a ford puma 1.7 trackcar and used it for some trackdays just as a bit of a laugh. Unfortunately the puma suffered with extensive rust issues on the chassis as do most of them and was not safe or Economical to repair so we decided to strip off any of the good parts and to use them on an other project. Adrian removed the engine, gearbox wiring loom and big brake kit from the puma and off she went to the scrappers.
Now we had to decide what to do with the parts, being always up for a laugh we decided to use all the puma parts in a ford fusion [emoji23] I know I see everyone laughing. But people also laughed at me when I built the ka...
The reasons we decided to go with the fusion was that it's basically a fiesta so all fiesta parts fit it and it's also light at 1050 kgs on the road so stripped it should be Round 900 kgs
Also it was cheap we gave 100 euros for it with a blown engine.
And the third reason was we wanted to show people that any car can be a fun track car and it doesn't have to be a k20 civic or a big power scooby or evo.
So here is the car and the build has started I'll update as we go [emoji106] FB_IMG_1516783987958.jpgDSC_1862.jpgDSC_1863.jpgDSC_1864.jpg

you two hate to stay idle :mechanic:

I love projects make sure now that you will be updating this regularly :54:

Update time,
So myself and Micheal (my brother) have really gotten stuck in and we have the old engine out gearbox swapped over to the 1.7 and have the engine and box in the car. All the engine bay wiring is done and I have moved onto the internal wiring. The cooling system is almost finished and all the front end is back on the car. I modified the dash also to accept the puma cluster and we removed all glass, motors, wiring the only fusion stuff left is the shell and suspension. More to come next week [emoji106] . Today was a good day [emoji16] myself and Mick finished off the wiring to the dash and also all the engine bay, fuel pipes, coolant pipes etc and we started it for the first time hasn't been started in over a year and you would think it has always been in the fusion

Sweet man, great to get over that obstacle anyway, one big step to a very interesting project I may add ????

Almost had myself a 93 MR2 there last week for peanuts but the seller backed out. Well, he was never selling, but he was warming to the idea and then changed his mind.
I'd like something interesting to tip away at like that, good stuff man ????

Ye it's definitely interesting [emoji57]
I love to work on oddball yoke myself. You should get a yoke to bbe at and come to a track day for the laugh [emoji23]

I do have a 94 boxy Clio at home. That would be a stupidly funny thing to fly around a track.
Imagine that with a 1.8 Megane engine or something ????????

Great cars the clio slap a 182 engine it or a turbo megane engine [emoji23]
