Pure Rally June 2017

its funny when the poster is advertising cars that probably do not exist in Ireland.

Guys, it looks like great craic... and we all love a good roadtrip with like-minded petrol-heads, but... It looks way too good to be true!

... Having done 2 different multi-day driving events for charity, and knowing the cost and work involved with organising such events, I have serious question marks over the entry fee and the stated itinerary / benefits etc of "pure rally".

Two nights in 4 star hotels alone would see most, if not all, of the entry fee used up.
Then they state that there are parties and €1000s worth of prizes etc... Funded how?!?
They are a commercial company looking to make money, not the St.Vincent de Paul who are doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. Organising and accompanying the event etc costs too, how do they fund that?

Anyway... Google... some of the first page results:

One positive write up a previous Irish event: http://www.sundayworld.com/entertainment/cars/pure-rallys-five-star-irish-run

However, what better way than to run one event, at a cost... and then seriously (over)subscribe a subsequent event, cancel it and keep the deposits / entry fees as per the many many complaints you can find online from different events.

I personally would keep my money safely in my own pocket!

Ya i done some googling myself and found a few bits. I think your dead right. Great run last year. Now on the strength of it take all the deposits and then cancel it....

I would love a trip like this though!!
