Quarter Mile Drag Strip Challenge - Battle of the Irish Forums

There will be members there Niall (welcome aboard by the way :thumbsup: ) myself included, but I don't think we ever have a 'display', not recently anyway. If you see a group of Scoobies parked together that'll probably be us :D

Now i wish i had logged on sooner, its not our fault your brakes are sh*t !

Anyways back to the topic at hand, i was sorry to hear that ISDC had pulled out of this event. We have already ran 600bhp+ cars down the strip and they have been more than able to take the bend. It is no where near 90 degree's either, if it was the railings would be littered with dead race horses LoL

Anyways, the fastest time ran on the strip by a cossie was 10.9 and he was running standard brakes, if you are all running 600bhp+ i would understand you concern but if not then i'm lost as to why your afraid to enter. It is only for fun and single lane racing means you can't be freaked out by a monster bhp car revving up beside you.

Hopefully we will see you and you will reconsider, if not maybe next year !

Hey welcome along. Any car can take part as far as I know. The club arent going to enter this year though. But im sure there will be members there.
 
There were a few standard cars running the strip last year. The smartest was a cobra replica mmmhhh:

Just a quick update all :

1/ We are no longer taking Entries for King Of the Ring !

2/ There are a few places left for the Sprint Strip / Show and Shine...

3/ We can now Confirm that we will have Irelands Fastest Car on Display running a mind blowing 9.91 1/4 Mile built by ECC and owned by Andrew Mercer !

4/ We also have a surprise guest judge for the King Of The Ring Comp.

Don't think so. He had the car in yesterday for a few bits and pieces. He said he was bringing to the drag. I didn't know much about the event until he mentioned it.

This is bloody quick. If it's there you won't miss it.
