How are they on petrol? my mate has an Altezza and is looking to get a Legacy. Mine is better on petrol compared to my old Altezza but not sure about the twin turbo setup.

Really depends on how ya drive it mate,i checked up on this myself before buyin and it said that the legacy will get 600km a tank driving economically, but from my own experience and i'm sure others with the twin turbo set up will agree,ya just cant help yourself and want to hit that 5000rpm,only on motorways tho  I can usually manage 400km a tank from my leggy before returning to the pumps

I do a lot of mixed driving, but like to drive it on when i get the chance, I generally get anywhere from 350 to 400kms to a full tank..

same here usually about 350 or just over 400 if i take it handy. you would only get good mpg driving on long journeys in 5th. the good thing bout the leggys is the boost comes in early and once you get used to driving them you can potter around quite quickly using only the primary turbo knowing the second one is there when you need it. if your on b roads using the primary and secondary you need to be locked up in a rubber room

I've got 500km from a tank before :D Was well into the reserve though!
If you only use the first turbo and obey the speed limits ya should be able to get 24-25 mpg ;)
All depends on driving style I suppose.

Have had it at 530kms but usually average about the 400 mark! Well worth it though.

As little as 300km a tank, average just below 400km, but has done 500km on a tank on a long journey.

cant see how anyone can get 600kmhs out of a tank...i get 350-400 buts shes decatted and running higher boost but even standard i was lucky to get 450-500...but in saying that i probably use a good bit of juice warming it up and cooling everyday

Mines the same as that, they are abit of a dog on juice around town but I knew what I was getting into have a wrx a few years back.It will definitely do over 500km on a long journey. . .speaking of long journeys I'm off to kerry today!! :subaru:

I'm getting about 25 miles per gallon in a 1999 RSK B4.
I do mixed driving, but definetly put my foot down where i can.
Stupid question but how big is the fuel tank?
I dont think the fuel economy is that bad when you consider the performance (and style) your getting on this car...
