Deciding whether to pay up for membership or not is your own choice.
With regard to work getting in the way I've no idea what you work at but we have a variety of meets. We run a nightly meet each month in Dublin or surrounding areas. This is normally on a Wednesday or Thursday and goes from 7pm until midnight on occasions...can get quite cold during the Winter though :lol:
We try to stagger what we do on these night meets...sometimes just a bit of grub and a chat & other times it might be karting, pitch and putt etc.
We try our best to run larger events on a bi-monthly basis and these would be split over Saturday and Sundays so again there is variety there.
Further to the meet aspect of being a full member it also opens the door to discounts from site traders. Typically our traders offer 10% discount to full members and some even go further than this with extras they provide.
If also opens up the members gallery/members blogs to you.
This is our own area to post up pictures of our cars & there is quite a number of very tasty projects being meticulously detailed in there (jamies widearch s5 rally car replica being one of them).
And finally it gives you access to create your own avatar on the site & send private messages (pm's).
PS...We heavily subsidise events thru the year & typically if you get yourself along to 3-4 meets during the course of the year you will get your membership fee back along with more
