quick. question

Lads just a question my mate has a UK bugeye and has a weld on back box that he wants to fit but when he went to get it welded he was advised by the welded he not to fit it as as he would lose 50bhp.anyone tell me how that could be possible

Maybe he'd lose 50bhp if the backbox was MAHOOOSIVELY restrictive, like welding a 1.2 opel corsa back box in there with a 1/4" outlet pipe :lol:

But i assume whoever was telling him that was more talking about the weld point affected performance which it would by the weld inside causing a slight restriction and disrupting the smooth flow of gas, but 50bhp... no way...
