Quinn Direct

KudzSTi

Petrolheads
Im insured with quinn direct and in Jan on my renewal paid 943 fully comp
out of curiosity since they are in trouble now i wanted to see if my quote would be the same as it was then

went online, typed in my exact car as they have it on the poilcy and its coming up as 720 now
thats approx 220 less, im thinking of cancelling my policy (only will lose 3 months of ncb) and starting a new policy with them for the cheaper price (i'd prefer the 220 in my pocket rather than theirs)

would be worth checking for anyone else with them to see if the price has come down since

How did you get a quote on a scooby online?

Anytime I tried, it comes up that you have to ring them for a quote :icon_blahblah: :icon_blahblah: :icon_blahblah:

@ markobucko : hmmm must check this out cheers

@ scoonymaniac : it used to be like that now that i think of it but its quoting me now ... well the do need to keep the business alive maybe this is new?

surely there is a cancellation fee in their policy!!!!
[/quote]

Almost sure there is a cancelation fee. You can bet its probably 3 figures at least.

and i had issues before with quinn, they said there was an admin fee of 50. but since i was staying with them they wouldn't charge me so you mite be all right. give them a buzz and see

I am 1400 on my B4 and got my renewal quote (Insurance finished at the end of this month) and its 1600 :angry1:

Iam now 25 with 3 years NCB, Will ring them next week to see if they put it down if not I am going else where :icon_nana:

Ring AXA, they saved me a fortune compared to quinn in pretty much same circumstances as you

just said i'd add to the op that as you've had 3 months drivin out of the policy for 943 they will most probably deduct at least quarter of it to give you around 700 minus whatever cancelation charge so you'd be no better off but I'd ring and complain a bit anyway they might offer a refund of some kind but you'll need the reference number from the online quote aswell so they can check the details you put in are correct
