RALLY IRELAND

went to the sligo and donegal stages today,gar_bandit and a few other scoobys went up with us,seen a white sti,with the club sticker on,a and lot off wrx and sti all versions parked up at sligo stage,after the first few cars ran,the pace was,nt that great,seen a nice blue scooby crashing on the road up to sligo, // so 555 reg,the tow bar on the jeep make poo of the front of his car :icon_cry:,we all thought it was a great day :thumbsup:

No there are a few WR1 replica's about. Ice Blue was introduced to the MY05 Impreza's.

Just a clip and pic of where I was for the lough gill stage. Will make one with all the cars one of the days. Loeb was on the limit. Video doesnt do him justice. He sidewards going over the small crest at the top of the hill :icon_pray: :icon_headbang:

Was at it for the 3 days - great buzz around , the weather was terrible in fairness but if you were wearing the right gear it was'nt a problem, funny to see some clowns walking(trying) around in white runners & tracksuits in the muck & shite.
Nice to see all the subaru jackets still around over at Chris Atkinsons service area , you could see he really appreciated the support he was getting waving over etc. He had some Rally & hopefully he gets the support to continue for the rest of the season, because i do believe he should be considered as one of the top 3 drivers, excluding Loeb -the man is an absolute legend completly untouchable.
Hopefully we will see it again in 2011
 
I had a great weekend. Weather was cold and wet but worth it.
Myself and my brother stayed in the same B&B as Brian and Niall , Nic and Danny - Karma to you guys for such a top weekend :thumbsup:

Ummmmmmmmm ehhhhhh congrats to Loeb,savage pilot but I reckon Mikko Hirvonen was pushing harder in spots and he has my support, I hope he does well.

There was plenty of nice machinery about, some clean MKII escorts and a savage white Lancia Integrale with the cooling discs attached to the wheels - It was peachy Duffman :smile:

Also seen some nice evos :lol:
 
Great weekend if you could forget about the weather and the lack of scoobies running in the rally.

Like Pete says great craic to be had when there are a few lads together, some amount of p1ss taking of Loeb but can't dispute his skills behind the wheel. Hirvonen will be getting my support this year too, he's a classic entertainer in the mould of McRea, had the Ford sideways pretty much everywhere.

Didn't see any nice Evo's though Pete :angry1:

Sorry no pics, weather was so bad I was more concerned with getting the 20 layers of waterproof clothes on before each stage to remember to bring the camera.
 
Had some unwanted attention from an EVO with full PSNI liveryoutside Enniskillen for parking up outside a house (not blocking any exits ) with hazards on to use the phone WTF, the usual questions where am i going ? what am i doing ? etc etc & i thought our lot were bad down here!!

seen him on fri morning for the second stage was going fairly well then, was at Tempo for the second pass on sat evening but he crashed out somewhere on that stage
 
saw him on the saturday and fair enough them yokes are limited to around 115 i think but he was comin down a hill round a bend and over a bridge and he was on the limiter for about 12 seconds,he looked quicker than loeb!
 
Had a brilliant weekend altogether, got to 9 stages over the weekend. Highlight 4 me was i was where Atkinson had his big crash on friday, about 50 yards down the road and yes caught it on video.Actually got a piece of his induction piping dat fell of when he passed. Also met Hirvonen and got his autograph. Wil throw them up in a while, also got a vid of Umo Aava and Latvala on the road sections. Thought Loeb was unreal, was quicker dan everyone at practically all the stages i was at. Thought Irish drivers weren't goin as hard as they can... :dontknow: but as for Niall McShea thought he was savage. Was giving it everything on every stage i seen him and have a clip of him where he even looked to be goin faster dan Loeb. It showed in his times as he was 3rd quickest on 1 stage. Also thought it was a very well run rally. Met a few members, Nic spec c and think it was mac mac, from kilkenny wit blue bugeye. :ponder2:
 
i think nesbitt was there when atkinson went off and gave him a hand. think it was i big enough one. atkinson was shook
