Hi Folks I have got a second hand set of wheels but they will need some work. as money is tight is a diy re spray a option since I wouldnt have a clue any words of wisdom would be great thanks John L

Hi I really dont know all I have seen is pics but they are silver but I would like a nise gloss black or gun metal grey what paint is best and what skill level is required I will be in no rush as I have wheels on the car also many thanks John L.

It ain't so easy, but id do-able, approx 1.5 to 2 days of sanding per wheel( assuming your doing it in the evening) and then bout 2-3 for painting. Hand sanding the superleggeras is a pain in the Swiss because of the spokes. Ya need a good bit of patience from the start

Its a piece of piss really, sanding is the hard part. i love the spraying part.
Use a mask cos i was coughing for 2 weeks after it, very bad for you.

The last ones, i did green with halfords paint and after the trackday around the centre burnt and got very dark.
So if you are doing it with halfords stuff go for a darker colour, if there track wheels but any colour would be fine for road use, id say.

What wheels are they?

Hey a second hand set of OZ Superleggra in silver I would like black or a gunmetal in a gloss finish but has to be done on the cheap its just something to keep me busy thanks

Nic your spot on, I got my primer, paint & lacquer from vinny byrnes. Very helpful. John make sure to get acid etch primer as your wheels are alloy, regular primer won't take as well, feck all difference in the price.

Vinnie Byrnes is the place to go... great supplier of paint accessories.

Make sure to lacquer em when top coat is done to prevent brake dust destroying paint. 2 Pack is best for this.
