LAds how easy is it to remove decals off a car and will the process leave any marks as in will the paintwork look any different from where the decals have been removed? Reason I ask is I can get a 02 jdm bugeye sti at a good price only its covered in the rally team decals

probably need to heat the decals to soften the glue to make it easy to remove them , then get the car detailed and she'll be sweet as a nut

Yeah I was thinking that alright. Could be worth doing with money saved in the purchase.

Heat it up as Tommy says and just peel carefully. Any residue thats left then just use some tar remover and it'll come off no problem. Good polish and a wax afterwards and your sorted.

yes decals may suit some cars but its not my thing though unfortunately. I wants a nice shiny car

I take it it's the JDM prodrive bug your looking at. A member on here owned it if it is.

Just heat them with a hair driver and the will come of as said. Tar remover will take of any glue left behind. as you want a nice shiney car then clay bar her and give her a good polish and a wax. She'll be as good as new.

As the guys said, my father is in the sticker bus himself and what i used to do was heat gun, if not hair dryer a bit, then petrol or pre cleaner to take off the residue and then nice polish and wax after to seal it back!!

thanks for the replies. Went to take a look at the car on sunday. Theses's just too much work for my liking so not going down this route
