Rent a bay

not a bad idea but the only concern i would have is the safety side of things

if you can do your figures and there is profit to be made then go for it and good luck

as i said safety ... here are a few issues that could happen

a person who has no experince of using a lift puts a car up and while he is working on it ,it falls off the lift .... who is reponsible if others are hurt or worse
a person using your airgun damages their car
a person repairs their car and driving down the road there is a accident caused by their repairs but using your tools etc , eg a wheels falls off and hits someone

i would nt worry about people taking longer , thats how you will sell more hours of rent . after a peroid of time you will be able to book in cars to suit .

how would you handle breakages eg a donkey of a cork man  pulling his hub nut and breaking 3 or 4 long breaker bars ,or drops a air gun and it breaks , who pays ?

before anyone says i am full of dome and glup , these kind of things can happen .

give me a call any time and i will answer any questions that you may have

Already thought of these aswell! but your input is very much appreciated!

My plan is that tools are not supplied as a rule, But there will be tools available if someone hasnt got something, However these will only be given out if the person is willing to accept all responsibility and signs a release to confirm they will pay for any damage caused to the machinery / tools.

the possibility of someones wheel falling off is always going to be an issue, this is 1 of the reasons I would sit down with a solicitor / law firm to see where liability ends etc.

Still alot of backround work to do before I will approach anyone in relation to opening any premisis!
