i have been waiting on my pistons etc to arrive this week, stuck in customs for the last 2 days

Got a letter from office revenue commissioners in port laois saying

'Present SAD entry form at a customs house/customs clearance agent and forward to issuing office above"

Anyone know if there is anywhere online i can get it from?
 
Not to sure on the form, but did you try revenues website, you may be able to download it. www.revenue.ie

You should have just bought from the Uk man , save the hassle
 
4. Goods valued in excess of €650
Completion of a S.A.D. is required for importations of a declared value in excess of €650. In these cases a Notice of Arrival is sent by Revenue at the postal depot to the addressee asking them to clear the goods by completing a S.A.D. entry form. Details of where you may obtain and complete this form will accompany your Notice of Arrival.

Alternatively you may employ the services of a Customs Clearance Agent to clear your goods through Customs on your behalf (see the yellow pages in the telephone directory for a list of Agents).
 
No way they are going to let you away without paying import duty if goods are valued over €650
 
yes cheers Andy, found out this info in the mean time from guys in our logistics department. Usually the post man just turns up asking for customs charges and you pay him on the spot or collect from depot. I have to pay a customs clearance agent an extra 45 euro to pay the vat and duty on my behalf then the revenue will release my delivery for payment. load of balls and meaning i probably won't get the parts until monday, so more delays!

I'll do a full how-to when i get done so people know what to do next time!

Done above for about 15years I am sure I can still remember how to complete.
Will have to drop sad and payment into customs house and they should clear more or less straight away..
If needed I can collect on Tuesday and drop into you Wednesday.

Might need an agent to do it on system. But worth chancing your arm.

Will need invoice showing value of goods and freight if you have these mail to me and will give it a go. [email protected]

If the value seems too low, they can put a value on it of there own... You get to mess slightly with values but nothing stupid like a new short block valued at 200 dollars etc etc...
Its a catch aswell because if you value it at x amount and it gets lost then you only get x amount... and i suspect there is more chance of your item going missing when you down value it, a way of teaching us smart fookers a lesson by the Revenue
 
Yea ive found in the past that even getting hit with the Full value customs, something thats is costing 700 euro will work out 100 -150 more here to buy
