Right I'm off for my rolling road

Best of luck man. Make sure to post the figures when you get them

Steve.

well its another sad day in the coopster house
only made:
232bhp
226.28 ft lbs torque

he said it was laggy and that for the amount of boost it has i should be seeing more bhp and torque that that :ponder2:  :icon_cry:

i think i might just give up at this stage
he suggested looking in to the ecu (remap) but im not going paying another 500euro with out adding any mods just cant justify it :wall:

and is it mapped for these mods?
what boost are you running?

If you don't have it mapped for these mods then there is your problem. I wouldn't even dare to drive the car without getting it mapped. You are taking a big risk. My 2002 forester was mapped to suit similar mods and that achieved 268bhp (177 bhp before map and mods)

Aw gav! Ya must be gutted man!
If i hadnt got confidence in cda's rr id say try a different rr!
I was certain with fixin the intercooler problem that ya had would have fixed ya!

me too thought i had it for sure :dontknow:
mind you i did get a 20bhp gain from the last time

its mapped ECUTEK
running at 1.4bar boost
so i would of thought i would of hit the 270 mark for sure
im not sure how to read the graphs - some one might do that for me

That does seem very low for a car that is mapped to suit those mods. Might be worthwhile to check the usual suspects like plugs, maf, boost pipes for splits etc.. You must be rightly pi55ed.

big time
they have all been check over ,
last rr came in at 213bhp
thats when i found out my knock sensor had gone

but all seems grand with the car now no faults all new samco pipes installed (just to make sure)
fully serviced

the guy at rr suggested looking at the ecu (remapped) but like i said 500euros is a lot of dosh to throw away when there are no upgrades to justify it

did ya get her tweaked after fitting the intercooler and turbo gav???

mapped tweeked for the turbo , but not for the intercooler (cant see that being the problem) :ponder2: but could be wrong

all except the intercooler ,
how ever was just talking to a guy with the same forester and he was running a vf35 but said and i quote:
(That graph is just wrong in so many ways, I have never seen a curve so messy, the ecu seems to be having great difficulty maintaining a decent boost and timing range.
I had this problem with mine when I ran a VF35, it turned out the turbo was too big for the cams and was just not efficient.
I ran 250bhp and 250 torque, as soon as the TD04 went on I was in the 280bhp bracket as it is very well matched to the cams on a forester..
You have 2 options here, change to a smaller turbo and have the map adjusted or try fitting an electronic boost controller to try and straighten the graph up, fitting an EBC will take boost control away from the ecu, I done this with mine.. )

some food for thought there :ponder2:

He could be onto something there, mine has the TD04 fitted and it holds boost nicely at 1.2 bar throughout the gears.
