rolling road yesterday

Hey all, i went to westward eng. yesterday for a rolling road test along with a friend who was getting his Octavia vrs my06 tested. I followed down in my oo turbo and ended up getting it done aswell ! I have no mods except for a k&n panel filter and a straight center section and peco back box. Anyway , my car put out 214 hp, which for a nine year old car with 100k miles i thought wasn't bad as it would only have been 218 when new. Next week a vf28 turbo is going in, uprated fuel pump and then a remap by sti tuning......which Dave reckons will get me up to 280....ish. Once you start you can't stop ! My mates Octavia is now at 285 hp after a little tweek by Martin at westward and its only two wheel drive ! Anyway i'll let ye know in a week or so how things go............ :thumbsup:

What does your mate have done to his Octavia?? a friend of mine has an audi with the same motor

I know it has an uprated fuel pump, exhaust system, has 3 ecu staged maps, additional intercooler and possibly more besides . Externally it looks like any other vrs, you wouldn't have a clue of the monster under the bonnet , so to speak. 285 hp through two wheels is a handfull though but he's a happy lad regardless ! Anyway i'll let ye know how my own little project gets on............. :thumbsup:

let us know how you get on with the map and few mods as i have them mods in the pipeline over the next few weeks plus a bit more :thumbsup:
 
Done 4 laps of the 'Ring in an Octavia VRs and have to say I was well impressed :thumbsup: think it was putting out about 240BHP.

Ha Ha no such luck Keith- couldn't trash it as it had to bring us back home :icon_grin: and as it turned out in a hurry :icon_biggrin:
