Run around for the missus

thats the thing, it doesn't have to be a rocket as its just for ferrying her & the kids around the town...

very hard to find a small'ish 4wd motor out there..

keep looking for a 2.0r version of that wagon , hard to believe but it would be easier on juice than the 1.6 and the difference in road tax would be well covered by your savings on petrol

Thats interesting...even just around the town?

speaking from experience mate , had a new 1.6 in 2005 , animal on juice , bought a 2.0 r sport in 07 and it was giving me 600 kms to a tank on average and i fairly drove it ,

just to put things further into context , i think the 2.5 sti i have now is just as good if not a bit better around town and the sti is better on long runs ,

I found the same as Tommy when I frst went from a 1.6 to a 2.0. The 1.6 was actually in and around the same as the STi when I got it. I pt it down to having to drive the 1.6 harder to get anything out of it. :dontknow:

I know of a Saloon 2.0 RX going with full STi kit, STi peddles, STi rear defuser, Splitter and STi suspension fitted to it, in WR blue, if your interested. It's a 2006 hawk eye. It was mine but I traded it about two months ago for an STi, timing belt had only been done by HB dennis before I traded it.

These are a few pics I took of it.

cheers for the comments lads...honestly couldn't see the missus driving around in a STi saloon. She doesn't mind the estate. There's a nice wrx estate on carzone but way out of budget.

She's not an STi just look like one. She's a non turbo 2.0 RX model.

Eric, this one is listed as a 2.5?

your missus would love to be seen driving around in that impreza Eric posted. Once she drives it she will love it. The 2.0 rx are nippy enough and easy enough on the motion lotion

is that the red one for about 11k? Missed that

Wouldnt be the best for info but here goes

rx 2 ltr non turbo
wrx 2 ltr turbo
wrx sti 2 ltr turbo with different internals. More power than the wrx.Harder to insure aswell.

Some of the blobs/hawks are either 2 ltr or 2.5. Hope im correct on this as thinking of getting a hawk 2 ltr in a few years.

Loads of different versions of each model.Search on the home page think theres something there or have a look at the search on forum.

Few nice cars mentioned happy hunting

:smokin:

Not a bad summary

As a bit of additional info the Hawkeye WRX's and WRX STI's are 2.5 L engines as you indicated unless it's a Spec C which would be a 2.0 L.

Cheers, P.
