Saluting other Subaru's

Hi all,

Just back from a graet weekend at Rally Ireland
One thing I really noticed up there was the lack of Subaru drivers saluting each other!

I lived in the UK for 7 months last year with my WRX, and 99% of other Subaru drivers went out of their
way to give you a wave or a signal. I found it strange at the start, thinking people thought they knew me,
but eventually realised it was what everyone did!! Even mothers in forresters would salute(no offence forrester drivers :tongue:)

Whats the story over here??? I think we should start a "salute the Subaru campaign" :subaru:

I noticed that too, I waved but little responce, I got more friendly waves from the evo boys on the way home :icon_redface:
 
Know exactly what ur on about lad. Every scooby i seen whether impreza,leggy or forester i saluted and most of da time i got nothin back. I must admit though every isdc car i met saluted and even stopped 4 a chat which was really sound i thought. Met Nic spec c and think i met mac mac. Is he from kilkenny,drivin a blue bugeye me thinks.both smashin motors.
 
Weird, i've noticed this also. Get the "road warrior stare" as i called if

you know the one hand on the wheel, sour face. Sad gits!
 
i found the opposite at rally irl , plenty of waves and salutes ,, :subaru:



after stg 4 , came back to a flat wheel :angry1: :angry1:- nic spec c pulled up and then seen scoobyke 10 mins later, flash and a wave.

lucky enough got puncture fixed in garage 5 min down the road :icon_pray:--dirty nail :angry1:

I gave the old toot toot and tud tud too all i saw down at the rally, Saw a lad in a blue impreza in ballinamallard with club stickers, gave him a wave and toot, he saw and waved back, I was i the leggy but with no stickers. Fair play for waving back. :subaru:
 
seen a lot of subaru's at Rally Ireland majority of drivers i encountered saluted , or slowed down to let me out in to the flow of traffic & vice versa.
 
i always do it in the corolla and usually get a reply. I always leave out other toyotas (or scoobys) as well. Most of the time i get a response

Same as that waved to a good few some waved back but most didnt :dontknow:
@Mac mac shame it wasnt under better circumstances we saw ya :icon_sad: bad weather for a flat tyre.
@Bearxxxx was that you @ the traffic lights in Eniskillen?

Yeah got a wave off two of the evo lads but dont think they were too impressed when my brother Dan let down the window and started waving a Scooby Doo teddy at them :roll: :subaru: :subaru:

I always salute but rarely get anything back, When i'm on the bike all other bikers will give ya a nod going past. We need to get the word out to all and start a wide spread salute for us scooby drivers! :thumbsup:

Noticed the same over the weekend. tried to salute or flash every scooby i saw but only got a few salutes back. mostly isdc lads :subaru:
few lads starin at me like i had two heads :lol: :lol:

when im at home always gettin the civic/glanza brigade wavin and flashin like mad!!!

i think that was me you met yesterday morning i reversed back up to you :dontknow:
couldnt hang around long as i was pushing to make donegal town stage :thumbsup:
seen a few peope from isdc and was chatting to a few i think i seen nicknacs gtb in donegal
 
I always wave but rarely get one back. On friday just gone i passed three scoobys in the space of about two min i waved at them all but got nothing back. Maybe i aint liked :sad: :sad:

On the up side my girlfriend always gets a great laugh out of it, she cant understand for the life of her whats its all about and seems to love the fact they never return the wave :hammerhead:
 
Well we should keep up the salutes never mind they few that dont,

its great to pass another scoob and get a flash or a wave :subaru: :subaru: :subaru:
