Porsche use yellow to mark the Porsche Composite Ceramic Brakes. (PCCB) These come from 996 GT3 RS

slightly off topic
but if anyone wants a cheap brembos brake upgrade you can take them off a alfa 166
sand down the alfa name
repaint
add brembo decal
and fit to a subaru with proper brackets (not sure witch )
you could buy a complete alfa 166 for the price of a brake pad these days or a cappuccino
so may be off help to someone on a small budget looking for good stoppers

a few cars have the same caliper
the little lads in japan didn't have them made exclusively
not sure about what brackets they need
but can be done

not sure of what way they are
there on ebay advertised they willl fit
and ive figured this for years
as ive been cleaning sh*t box alfas more than i care to remember with the same calipers on them
while dreaming off having them on my own car
ill know soon enough once i break my 166 :icon_razz:
i never focused on the exact ins and outs of work on my car
i have a lad who does all that
so i leave him at it

I've made a bit of a research about brakes and Brembo.

It turns out Brembo have a special division, which makes the callipers for some selected high performance brands like Porsche, Subaru, etc. on special order.
The spec is usually higher on these, than on the usual Brembo branded stuff. Most of the hi-tech callipers are monobloc (1-piece) type - as Robbie mentioned above.. It makes the construction of the calliper much stiffer, and also provides much better distribution of temperatures. Gets the heat away from the system in more efficient way.

so maybe not a good idea so :ponder:
they look the same size and shape
and are listed on flea bay as fitting
ill try and get a part number and see if that is the same
