Hi lads, anybody know who else apart from axa insure subarus? Rang allianz but as soon as I said Subaru she said no! :hammerhead:

age , ncb , car etc would help wayne , maybe someone on here would have simular details and point ya in the right direction ,

I am with quinn direct though , its tricky enough to insure one now

Go to search box at top right hand corner.....type in Insurance and book next 3-4 days off work to read results!! :geek:

I'm 31, with RSA, insuring the 2001 b4 for €500 fully comp,i have 7 years ncb, full licence for 10 years plus, got a hypothetical quote on a wrx wagon when i was looking for a car, they wanted €800 plus to insure it :cuckoo: feck that i'm wishing my life away long enough for cheaper insurance!! Hope you get sorted.

Cheers lads, I'm 28 full licence 11yrs, no points, 6 yrs no claims in my name & I hav been named driver on both my wrx 5 years & now 2 years on the sti but need to go on my own this year. I have a 05 sti type uk, which they want €2000 to insure!

im 28 with 10 yrs ncb on a 2.5 sti impreza and paying €800 fc with quinn , your biggest issue is that you were only a named driver , false economy i think ,

Hey man, try Aaron insurance brokers in harolds cross, they r great!!! Cheapest quotes I've ever got. Let us know how u get on

Alright Wayne

Long time no talk, how is the new house going for you.

Im with Aaran insurance myself give them a call 4782020, been with them since before i got a subaru and always get a decent quote off them

Let us know how you get on,

Cheers
Mick

i had my trade policy with allianz for 3 years. this year the premium went up and the excess went up 1500euro on the impreza.

broker then put me with travellers insurance for the price of the previous years premium.

i know mine is a trade policy but it might be worth ringing them (if they do private insurance)

Right lads the story so far:

Quinn: said they don't insure them. Explained a friend of mine has the same car insured, still said no.
Aarron: €1771 with an excess of €4000
Britton:€1780 with an excess of €3000 said they will try another place tomorrow & get back to me.
That's all I got to as I had to go to work. Il try a few more tomorrow but looks like I will be shifting her on :angry1:

its becoming very very very hard to insure these types of cars in ireland. Its becoming a joke at this stage.

for us that do have good prices, should be thankful, cos if it goes up its bye bye subaru for me and hello diesel.

So enjoy it while you can.

Insurance might not be the only thing to worry about with the way things are going with our neighbours.

If we still had the greens in government, they would probably be pushing for something like what is going to happen in London from Jan 3rd. This is a link from Volksworld, it's a hot topic with them as some vw campers won't meet the new levels. Alternatively, they can pay £100 per day.

2k for a scooby with 11 driving is mad money, you should try dropping into some insurance companies, they tend to give you a better price when your face to face
