them kits you buy just cover up most scratch's and they just keep coming back, i have being doing stuff like this for over 10 years it was one of the 1st things i was thought when i took up spray painting, if you wona try it yourself its very easy to do once you take your time
things you need are, 2000 grit wet and dry sandpaper, warm soapy water and cutting compound, i use 3M fast and fine cut but ther are many other ones out there like G3 but i just like the 3M
start off with wetting the sand paper and rubbing along the scratch with not to much pressure let the paper do the work keep this up till you are happy that the scratch is going down then just give it a quick rub in a circular motion working out past the scratch this will even it out and wont leave dip in the paint work, also keep in mind that if you go to far you will burn through the paint, then its just down to a lot of elbow power with the cutting compound to buff it back up to a nice shine
also one way to see if your scratch is to deep to rub out is to run your finger nail over it, if it get's cought in it then you may need to get some touch up paint and fill it in let it dry for an hour or so and then do the process above
thanks guys, the sandpaper job sounds a wee bit tricky for me,ill leave it for now encase i make a mess of my blitzen.I wonder does that fix it pen really work or just another quick fix job.anyone here ever used it yet??
that pen is just a clear coat marker, it will cover up the mark alright but wont get rid of it a bottle of touch up will do the same thing and would be cheaper
