Lads the sister is looking at a 08 ibiza millage is high 115,000 km,should she walk away, any major faults with these?cheers.

it really 70,000 miles on a car thats been on the road the best part of 5 years now , its average really imo and wouldnt bother me if i were buying it and it was in good condition

Yea i agree tommy had a look at it today it looks great not a mark on it and nct till 2014,one owner from new, plus beinbought from a garage so there will be warrenty coming with it.

cant really go wrong if its a well established/reputable garage , and they offer a good guarantee .

the ibiza is basically a polo so that sort of mileage is nothing to it ,and its nearly 5yrs old so it not astronomical .only thing to watch is oil consumption there known to use a bit but its normal just make sure she checks it

Basically with vag stuff you have standard servicing or long life.

Standard is 15k or one year.
Longlife servicing is 30k or two years.

So call it 5 years that car has done 115km?

Average generally is 12km a year.

In real terms the car should have done 60km!

Is this car a 3 cylinder petrol engine?

Seems a bit high to me. But if it has been serviced by a main dealer it's some piece of mind.

The 3 cylinder petrol engine in the polo was/is a nightmare for issues!

This is coming from a vag tech with over 11 years experience :)

Thread carefully and get a years warranty if buying is intended....

Safe enough so with the 4 cylinder donkey.
It's tried and tested since 98.

Once it's been minded and serviced with good oil it will be grand.
May need a T.belt though?
