seen an oap in an sti earlier

My mum is currently 63 still driving, but she was the first person to show me how to keep the car sliding in winter on full opposite lock. It was about 20 years ago and she owned a Ford Capri then

i think every parent has driving skills but they aint to willing to share them wit their kids

yeah i no wat u mean with the little shits in their civics (yes i own one but im not one that thinks awh i can beat any car like most of them) its good fun though messing around wit them with the sti

I went for a spin with my oul lad (59 yrs old) in the Sti a few weeks ago, and let him drive from the off.
He used to drive fast all the time in 205 gti etc back in the day until he started getting caught speeding.

He recently sold his Yamaha FJR 1300 which was no slouch either, but it was gas, just seeing the look on his face when he planted the boot in second an briefly let it up to 160k!

All he could keep saying was "Holy F..k, thats ridiculous, thats as fast as a bike, Holy F..k, i don't think im ready to let you drive me around in it!"

He serviced my own yoke a few times Brian... amazing mechanic! Very particular!

Only prob is he doesn't generally service road cars. I got the Ronnie fella to persuade him to take me on as a customer but he's usually up the walls with the competition stuff... mainly Grp N!

I can certainly ask!

Mate of mine knows him well and recommended him..he won't touch road cars as you said...has a great reputation

I'm lucky to have gotten him to agree to work on car. He went over it with a fine tooth comb and pointed out and fixed all the bootched jobs from previous brainless grease monkeys.

He aint cheap though... but well worth the money! He did a few services and a both rear bearings and a few other bit & pieces! Haven't used him in a few years so not even sure if he's still on the spanners. :dontknow:

I seen an OAP in an rb320 in ballinteer at the weekend, gave him a thumbs up :subaru:
it was on irish plates and he had the missus(another oap) in the passenger side. I also seen an oap in a black 04 b4 in the maxol in ballinteer at the weekend, chatted to him for a few minutes, asked him was he on isdc but he said no

Appearances can be deceiving, all impreza drivers look like 60 year old biddies when they're driving around.. So its not unusual to see them..

The legacy is a car that has no boundaries, it makes old people feel young and makes young people just fooking awesome... Prime example being me... I'm fooking awesome...

Brian and Jamie are dirty bingo playing aul ones, go get real cars ladies
