As above lads im selling up it's been 14 years in Subaru's all good years.
So here is the story, I'm looking to sell into the uk as the wr1 has I bigger Market over there with the wr1 owners club and all that.
What would you ask for a mint one with 30k on the clock.
Also what do they pay vrt over there on a Subaru
Sorry it's a short post im on my phone
Cheers
Keith

as far as i know they dont pay vrt just whatever money is needed to get MOT and DVLA certified, could be a grand or two

is your car is originally from the uk ? there should be no issue selling into the uk , may have to have vat payed on it ?

wonder could it be reregistered on its old ni plates ? shouldnt be anything to stop ya doing that id imagine , should make strong money keith , anything on pistonheads etc has 50-60 k on the clock and they are the low milers

is there not something now where if you export a car you are entitled to the vrt back on it .. could be way off the mark on that one though

Far as i know it can go back onto its UK reg,
But anyway if it cant a new reg can be got by simply DVLA and possibly testing the car, probably cost 200quid tops for it all.... not like here.
If you want send me a pm with a price you want and i will ask a guy in UK

Cheers ken was talking to a lad on wr1 owners club put his up for 11250 pounds with 40k on the clock and he sold it for 11 pounds crazy money compared to here.

Sold the type r into the uk. But it was up to the new owners for registration etc as I don't have address in north/uk etc, i sent details to shannon and sorted out of my name. much better money in uk for cars. Supprised how slow the uptake has been in the republic to this fact.

No VAT reclaim here and NO VAT charge there if sold within EU

keith if you can sell it in the uk you would be better off as anything that is sold there or up north is holding there value just my two cents,i hope you get what you're asking as the car is worth it mate

I'll be keeping a keen eye on how this goes Keith

Clean classics are still making £5k sterling over there, can't imagine I'd get much more than 3.5k euro here for it so might try to sell to the north for £3.5k sterling and keep the change from the exchange rate too

Cheers lads I'll stick it on pistonheads asap and I'll keep you's posted as to what's going on
Thanks again
Keith
I'll prob pick up a old shape leggy just to keep my foot in the door.

Have my Wrx advertised in the north to as I thought it would sell up there due to sterling cost. Nothing as of yet.

Just seen this Keith, Let me know if I can do anything for you.
Once the Car model was originally sold in UK(European type approval) it will clear no problem, if it wasn't sold originally in the UK it is subject to VAT if it was it isn't and you need only pay a administration fee.
Its only 55 quid to register the car.

For lads with JDM models

"Cars, motorcycles and light goods vehicles first registered in a country outside of the European Union must pass the IVA, SVA or MSVA, as appropriate."
