Hey people,

Since this is my first AWD car, just wondering what is different to these service wise? What oils do I get changed when getting her serviced etc...

i use castrol edge sport 10w 60 for the engine, 50euro
castrol sintrax for gearbox and diff, 15ish euro
mintex competition c-tech brake fluid....clutch fluid is the same i think? 25euro
steering and coolent i got from a friend, no idea what they are.
this is what iv in mine, so dont take my word for it...
 
dont forget get a genuine subaru oilfilter, 7euro.
and get a timing belt kit if your not sure when it was done.
 
Cheers lads. Its not due for a while, the engine is only new, about 20k miles on it and new timing belt.

Just wanted to know for future reference :)

ya went out to check the oil i use before i posted it on here. grand.
i came out again and saw a big leak under the back of the car (ah no not the diff).
check to see if it was oil, it was. but new oil.
the can of oil leaked in the boot and down through the hole i drilled for the water.
it was a costly post.

Would subaru have the oilfilter in stock ?

my subaru dealer recommend 10w 40 castrol magnatec in the engine!!!
i assume its a wrx then for 10w 60....thicker oil

4.5..you can get a 5 litre mobil 1 fully synth 15w50 in halfords for 64.99
 
Think they take 5ltrs. Had to buy 3 tins and have half tin left after last change.

Try traders on site they should be able to sort you out.Think Dave in stituning and Damo in Street Perfrmance have delivery service sourced.

$hit i just bought 4L of castrol edge sport 10w-60

cant try the traders because im gettin it serviced tonight

i have to get sparks plugs aswel, do normal motor shops sell these yeh?

you'll get them that team semperit place you know just down by the 17a terminus at dennis mahonies? cant remember the name team pr reilly or something??..anyway they sell ngk sparks and cheap
 
i tried pr reilly they hadnt got any ngk

so i tried artane autos and they hadnt got any so i just got a set of DENSO plugs for 60 quid

your man said they are a v good plug has anybody ever use these??
