Serviced? Yeah right!!

This really has no relevance but I just needed to vent :angry:
I dipped the oil just to check it and noticed it was low so I decided to drop the oil and change the filters (oil and air). When I dropped the oil I didn't realise that shade of black existed and as for the air filter...no wonder the idle was a bit rough!!

When I bought the car the guy said she had just been serviced not too long ago but apparantly not!!
 
I'D never take the persons word for it, i'd always do it myself when i buy the car. Especially the timing belt and tensioners.
 
if i'm selling a car on and its been serviced, i say so and produce the receipt if they want to see it.

mine was supposed to be serviced too by the last owner just before i bought it two plugs were changed other ones worn and different heat range air filter was very dirty cant beat getting it looked after yourself
 
The good old jap car dealers/garages are great for the Fully serviced shite.

Never believe them and get EVERYTHING done yourself straight away.
 
mine had been serviced when i got it but they didnt do the plugs, i changed them and the oil anyway and the air filter was still spotless.
