She served me well in the snow but...

Sunday Drivers
My Scoob kept me working all through the snow. I wouldn't have had a penny to spend this Christmas if it wasn't for my car getting me to where I needed to be.

Unfortunately there is a stink of arse and feet off my mats now.

Seriously, it's so bad, I think I should get an exorcist to have a look at 'em.

Any suggestions? Maybe a good carpet shampoo/ bottle of lighter fluid etc.

Thanks.

how did you get arse on the mats???
:ponder2: :ponder2:

When you have worms you'll drag yer arse accross broken glass if ye have to.. :hammerhead:

The smell just appeared one day.. Smells like a dead animal wearing a nappy full of last nights tikka masala..

I have considered new mats.. In fact, I'll go n check that out now..

ye mine smells pretty bad too in the mornings when i get in at first. all the poxy snow and slush getting dragged in to the car. I took out my drivers one and sprayed it with Autoglym hi foam interior shampoo and rinsed it off, its just drying out now, hopefully that got rid of the smell of kippers. Will get a rubber set soon for the next snowfall

take them out and blast them with a power washer
keep the lance at least 3 inches away from the mats otherwise you might get lines on the material
then hang them up and let them drip dry
after that stick them on the rads on the house
should do the trick

Mine did stink stuck them in the washer on 30 and bobs your uncle
You wanna see the fooking dirt of the water in the washer :icon_hang:

Elaine was only telling me to sort mine out. I'm going to jet wash them and hang them to dry. That sorts them out. You should only ever buy new if there's a big hole in them.

:multijump: thats poetry man.

anyway shake some baking soda on the mats to sort the arse odour. had a milk situation in my bus and someone very helpful on here gave me the baking soda tip and it worked brilliantly

Roll them up and stick them in a pillow case and cable tie the top
Don't ask me why she told me that, they came out good as new

Wish I did
id do it in the middle of the night while she was asleep
If ya cant put an electric heater on them or
start the car and select the and turn the heaters on full with the mats back in position once they have drip dried
then set the heating just on the floor and leave one of the back passo windows down an inch for ventalation
shouldnt take long to dry
