great looking car Keith , just a pity the handling was so bad in them , i drove a 1.6 astra for a week when my blob was in c&r getting work done and remember thinking a shopping trolley with a wonkey wheel would be nicer to handle on a back road

I bought a 330i a couple of weeks ago, have to get some pictures of it when i clean it up. Not crazy fast, 231bhp but the motor is a peach it pulls form any where and so responsive.

would you not have went for an M3 considering the tax is much the same?

I needed a 4 door, plus an M3 is a waste driving in London...I had a look at a 4 door E36 M3 but it was tatty... I had an AMG Merc I managed to get away from (rotten to bits) even that was a waste..it takes over an hour in any direction to just clear the city, then you still have all the cameras to deal...that's why you see so many soft top M3's in London..most are just for posing

Just took delivery of this little toy for a bargain price.
I have been weighing up buying a classic car for ages.
I was torn between a luxury Merc, Classic Porsche or rally rep.
It is road legal and NCT exempt. 50 euro a year to tax and classic insurance,hopefully 300 euro or less.
It does need an engine rebuild but my mechanic used to rally these as well as Subarus, so knows them backwards.
It should be good for 200bhp+ when finished. Yes it really is that clean.
I don't have any more pics as it is at the mechanics lock-up now.
