Slippy Road, acting the ham, I need a new wheel!

Cill

Middle Lane Hogs
As the subject suggests, acting the pri*k on a roundabout and hit the rear right wheel of my 02 Sti and fooked up the wheel

Just need a replacement 17" gold split five spoke Sti wheel, same as in this post https://isdc.ie/forum/threads/3141/

Any one know where I can get one? :ponder:

I doubt you'd sell me one of yours, would you Nodge?????

Maybe try treanors of armagh, Id nearly say if they dont have one its not in the country, but they mite not like splitting a set you know

Cheers Paddy, I'll give them a try, hopefully they might have 1 on its own

Anyone else know of anybody local to Dublin?

When you say you fooked up your wheel - how badly damaged is it?? Is it just buckled or is it smashed up?

You may be able to get it repaired :dunno:

Alan.

Hi Alan,

It has cracked about half way around the wheel, near the lip at the outside of wheel, fairly bad :(

It still holds the air in and doesn;t cause any serious vibration but unless a wheel repairer can weld it back together seemlessly I think I'm up **** creek

I've been to a crowd before and they did a great job of getting kerb marks out and scratching but I think this is beyond any of their means!

Cheers

there is a place on blackhorse avenue in dublin near the pheonix park that does alloy repairs i had trouble with one of my alloys on a previous car and went to them the welding was as good as new i will find the exact address and phone number for you in the next day or so

Darkshadow if you can get the number for the dublin shop, that would be much appreciated, save me the trip up north

Alan, those guys look very good  from their website, I'd even consider getting them all redone to have a set of minters!! I'll be giving them a call, cheers mate

Jonny, thats exactly what I was looking for, single wheel and all, what are the chances???? :dunno: but after the other guys saying I might get it repaired, my wallet and its current lightness suggests I try get it repaired first.

Thanks for all the help guys

well I have 3 left now, so 30 pound sterling would buy one off me, you would have a pick of three, up to you mate, they'll sell on e-bay any day for that money, just thought would give you a chance, it would take the repair guys a couple of days and maybe more than 30 quid to boot

Just wondering have any of you lads used nu-luk wheels? Looking for an estimate for price to have a set of wheels stripped & repainted and a couple of very small kerb marks repaired.

Hi Jonny,

For £30, I'll take it.

I have a mate in Newry who can bring it down for me at the weekend, where abouts are you?

Can you send me a mail with your phone number and we can organise.

Cheers mate,

Cillian

its not my fault the laptop decided it was going to be a woman and throw a hissy fit and refuse to do any work :dunno: i might not be on for a few days

Thanks for all the help guys

I'm going to go with Jonny and the brand new wheel, for £30 I can;t say better than that

Getting it repaired would cost more than the second hand one, I just hope the colour is exactly the same

Cheers,

Cill
