Sold the leggy this morning, had the car 3 years or so, learned lots - More than i should have, wont be back in a scoob for a long long time,
Loved the car to drive, every bit of it, but so F*ckin temperamental, had too many "small issues" that turned out to be much much more,
Kept the car extremely well serviced and ran it absolutely correctly, but the bottom end gave out all the same, oil pump failed, and after that i just lost all hope, i wasn't putting another 1800 pound at least into the car, so just sold it on as was for under a 1000 euro.
Cost 11,000 3 years ago, must have spent another 5,000 keeping on top of all the issues, loved it and looked after it every day and it still fucked up every few months, my heart is gone from them, Just dont know where to go from here regarding cars,
Big thanks to robbie (SWEETCAKES), ciaran( ASD AUTO), mark (B4RSK), Dave (DAGNUT) and sligo dave for all there help throughout the ownership, Thanks lads and wish ye the best.

its a shame you had such bad luck with the car but it can get on top of you and really put you of the car if its not going right.

would you not try an impreza, they dont give as much trouble if you buy right.

I done everything right with the leggy, absolutely everything, and plenty people will vouch for it, but just unlucky i suppose,
I love the impreza, esp the blob's. but at minute i am in no position to buy, i've lost out big time and would have been able to get a good car again ifi could have got 3 or 4 grand for leggy but wit a bollox'd engine i'm the same as starting off when i was 18 again,

I'll give ya a pic of my next 2 purxhases!!! :)

sorry to hear this John , unfortunate that she cost so much to fix and try keep her right , all the best with the next motor John ,

i know the feeling john if fucks with your head when things keep goin wrong with the car even though udd treat it right,
the first year and a half i had the rs it was in and out of the garage getting things sorted every month nearly, things just started to go wrong :angry1:
hope your back in a scooby at some stage though

Bad luck John..onwards and upwards these things happen with cars...with the higher compression they B4 are more susceptible to DET and drink more oil...doesn't matter how careful you are if the previous owner didn't treat it right not a lot you can...

Yea it's class over here, 3 day intensive coarse and you do you full test straight after, 360 pound and theen unrestricted riding!!!!!!!
My two mates at home have 2 gixers, 1 a k5 and other a k7, I am always on them when home, but cant believe how different each are to ride, K7 so so light in comparison. That is the actual bike i went to look at, price was a little steep a few weeks ago, but he has come down since, such a lovely colour scheme, and bike much easier to get to work in aberdeen, traffic is mental over here!

sorry to hear you had such bad luck with the legacy especially after looking after it so well its just a pity it wasn't looked after like that from new . best of luck with future motoring :thumbs up:
