Spare key

Howya Folks?
Need to get a spare key...car is Jap Import
Do I need to go to main dealers or can a locksmith cut and code one in?

Well, if your car has immobilizer, I assume you should go to main dealer...

If any locksmith is able to copy the code from one key to another, thats sorta worrying then, isnt it... ?

No immobiliser on a jdm so locksmith should be grand afaik

can copy most immobiliser chips , but being jdm , a €6 nissan blank for your local locksmith should sort you .


@ zhieko , people do it every day so why would it bother you . the ones i can copy are usually 50% cheaper than main stealer .

Be same worry from staff main dealer.

I was told I would need the logbook and ID to prove im the owner plus hand over 75euro That was in the corolla though but must get a price for the Leggy soon!

99 impreza hand key and €6 in handed back new key in local
Locksmith couldn't beat that with a big stick

Key and chipped for the immobiliser. ...now for a spare cobra fob...anyone know who does them in IRL....no one in Sligo doing them that I can find
