Hey all.
Sorry for annoying you all.
I have a question that I know some of you will be able to help me with.
(I know this because I’ve been very annoying in the past and everyone here has been so lovely and helpful despite my tism’s and stupidity)
So I have a 2001 GC8 Sport (2 liter AWD non turbo) and I’ve been trying to tip away and do some bits of it up.
I bought a second hand wrx (mid level spoiler) and I’m gonna get it and my front bumper painted. I also have bought a second GC8 Impreza (because mental illness is hard to get diagnosed in adults) as a donor car.
My plan was to take the boot off of the donor car (see pictures of it in my flat for reference) (horrified missus not pictured) and to have it sprayed at the same time as the spoiler so I have a totally new boot/wing combo that I can swap out whenever I want.
The question I have is, are the boot lids different on the different variants of Impreza?
As I say, the original boot (attached to the car in pictures) is from the basic enough sports model, but the newer donor one is from a 1.6 99 Irish reg one.
My main worry is that it won’t fit, or the holes won’t line up.
I’ve been tentatively matching them up to one another, but as I’ve said, I’m a complete eejit who doesn’t know what he’s doing.
Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

As a side note.
Does anyone have any advice for how to get the bolts/ heads that you’ve dropped into the insides of the boot?
I’ve now lost about 3 to the innards.
