i test drove one a few years ago with my brother who was going to buy it, the car was in dublin and was 26k if i remember correctly- gorgeous car to look at and drive, hard as fook though on the road- i toyed with the idea of getting one in 2013 but stuck with the scooby
There's loads of them available in Japan at the right money...those two on car zone are between three to four grand over priced. Ya a lot of lads change the rear dampers for some sort of koni ones apparently it fixes that hard as hell ride.

Horses for courses, apparently the diff in the new civic is magic and it gets its power down unbelievablely well. That coupled with manageable fuel and a nice (albeit funky) interior makes it a better car IMO. BUT 50k is ridiculous also. Civics are best left to spotless clean ek or ef shapes.
Fifty grand for an ugly civic...I don't buy all the hype around it

Hype is vtec turbo and a good diff, il try root out a youtube video where the pit it against the newish sti, as an all round test. the civic came off quite well in it, and it puts down pretty good laps for a fwd car.
Im not a big fan of the gear stick position and it's incredibly aggressive styling, but im sure there are a lot of people who are.
50k says more about this kip of a country than the actual car. Im not defending it and im not a Honda fanboy, I have owned a few, good cars for young lads. I have much better things to be spending my imaginary 50k on, just thought dropping 20k on a older civic was as mad as this, and id go with this.
I've had a good look round one at goodwood and I like it.
Possibly to agressive looking a car though? Say it would be wiped in no time
However the main complaint seems to be the old jdm chestnut there too hard for our roads made worst by the "Type R" button that unlocks the most from the car,
but makes suspension too hard for our roads if only u could choose damper settings like nearly every other performance car would have made more sense.
I'd buy the Ford Rs.

Totally agree there...focus rs all the way. I don't agree it's aggressive styling at all... I think it's lazy and ugly styling. Especially on the side profile. Horrible yoke.
