Sprayed my wheels (Finished Today)

Re: Sprayed my wheels (Teaser Shots)

They look really nice man, fair play. The brakes look great too  :subaru:

Re: Sprayed my wheels (Teaser Shots)

what primer and paint did you use Andy, i think one or two coats of clear laquer to toughen up the finish. Did you just do the fronts or the whole wheel?

Finished up the rear wheels today.

Nitromors doing what it does...

Re-did the rear calipers also.

@Dan, I used all Halfords stuff. Grey Primer and Satin Black paint. Sanded down the rear of the wheel and gave it a light coat of primer followed by a light coat of black.

After re-doing the rear calipers I now need to get the SUBARU in white back onto them. Anybody have any ideas? Stickers? and very steady hand?

Cheers Sean

That auction appears to be for only the front calipers. 90mm is for the Front. Rear calipers would need a smaller sticker.

Thanks Carlo, going to stick with White and keep it as original as possible.

To get the white on the subaru, I've seen people put paint on the cardboard piece of the toilet roll and gently roll it across the letters.. has come up very well for the people that've done it.. Might be worth a try

That only works for the front Rob as the SUBARU is slightly raised off the caliper. The rear caliper where the SUBARU is is flat so its going to have to be a sticker

Any sign writer would make you up a couple of stickers.

Wheels came up great  a couple of coats of satin clear coat will help protect them, if you do it yourself be carefully for 3 - 4 weeks it will still be curing

Yeah unfortunetly so maybe more depending on the weather, if i was doing mine again i'd get the laquer done by a body shop with an oven you'd have them back that day
did you take off the balance weights?

andy how many can of spray and primer did you use as i am going to attempt mine the weekend...did u use steel wool when getting it back to the metal or was it just sand paper
