squeaking brakes

Best fix to stop my brakes squeaking? Seems like loads left on the pads but sqealing like crazy when braking at low speeds, would some copper grease on the back of the shims solve the problem?

Mine are fine for braking going forward but squeel like mad in reverse would Dans idea help this

If its coming from the back, reverse slowly and pull the hand brake, do this a few times.
Should help to move the adjuster inside.

greased both front calipers today. seems to have gotten rid of the annoying of the annoying squeal

What exactly did you put the copper grease on? Just back of pad or caliper?

put it on back of pad where pistons make contact

ya put on the grease but also check if there is a lip on the edge of the discs if so champher the edges of the pads with a file so they dont make contact with the worn part of the disc.
