ssqv on auto B4

Had a friend down from limerick last night with an auto B4,was fittin drilled and grooved discs for him,and he mentioned that his bov wasnt working. I have a spare one here so i swopped them and still nothing-anyone know if the autos are like this or is there something wrong?
 
Yeah they work fine alright, i dunno what the problem could be on it. i was on to dave legacy about it before and he said that he knew of one that only noised with big turbo, mine pssshhhh's on both so dunno what difference i did in fitting it. all i did was rtfm
 
When i fitted mine i though it was broken too, turned out that the one of the cable ties i used to tidy it up was too tight on one of the vacuum pipes, worth a look.
 
Didnt mean for this to sound like its daves fault everyone-the dump valve is fitted exactly as it should be-so its nothing to do with the man that fitted it or the job he did. Sorry for any confusion caused-I wouldnt hesitate to recommend dave and sti tuning for any work needed.
 
Thats quite strange alright.

If he got the dumpvalve fitted he wouldn't have even been down the road & realised it wasn't working. Why didn't he turn around and go back? Maybe Dave could have identified the problem for him?
 
They did realise it even before he drove away. Dave did him a favour fitting it-it was after hours and the guy was only supposed to pick the car up from dave-he actually fitted it at his own house. But the car is to be mapped on saturday at daves so he will sort it then.

it was 10 o'clock at night and was coming back to me a week later....... :thumbsup:
