Steering Wheel Question

Wouldnt take a safety feature out of the car that has safed hundreds of lives for the sake of making the interior look a bit better

Think you would be better off leaving original or getting one with an air bag.

:smokin:

Cheers for da advice lads..

@kanye...i know its a big safety feature and its da 1 thing dats been holding me back but a friend has 1 in his cosworth and da feeling u get when drivin is really nice and looks really well 2, sort of have my mind made up also. Mite say a few  4 me lad....

i would love to change the steering wheel in the leggy for something smaller and with a bit more grip. are there insurence implications for removing airbags?

Oh never even thought of dat lad, good man 4 thinkin of it.

Have a friend workin in FBD, mite give her a buzz 2morro and c wat she says. Wil let u know da outcome...

if you modify a car in any way...unless stated to insurance company, then it voids insurance!!!!
might struggle to persuade any insurance company to ok removing a safety feature!!!
wouldnt bother TBH..!!

I must say.. I'm thinking about changing the steering wheel as well... the original one is not very handy imo it's too big :|

Bear: Those Suede Steering wheels should only be driven in the gloves AFAIK.
the salt you have on your hands + tear - will wear it down very quickly.

Have to agree the standard wheel on a classic is too big. Thought about changing mine too.

Have a leather momo in me 95legacy and its a great job but dont think there was an airbag first day :dontknow: might be wrong. If insurance is not a problem go for it
