Hey you guys!! just a tech question bout my scooby sti sometimes under harsh driving the clutch pedal stick down to the floor when changing gear!!!its really annoying!! any of ye any ideas or has this ever happened to ya and how do ya sort it out? thanks

Did you have a look at the pedal?
Make sure the screws that hold the pedal in place are tight.....

Alan.

I have recognized something similar with mine.
It seems, that the clutch cable slips too far out the pedal and is then shorter than usual.
The clutch still works, but it feels like the pedal is almost down to the floor.

I would also suggest to check the screws. Since I had this only 3 times in 4 years, I have not spent any time fixing it yet.

couldn find anything loose at the pedal , went to check the cable but she seems to have a hydraulic slave cylinder(wonder if they give any trouble?)!! it happens when i change gear , and for a while it just stayed down a little bit and i used to have to pop it back up by my foot!!! but the other night i took off hard and then pulled 2nd gear at bout 5,000rpm and the pedal stayed to the floor completely, and the car just revved up going no where, had to lift it with my foot back up and on she went again!!i took the mat out of the car in case it was catching it!! it's really beginnig to bug me now!! wanna sort it out, so any input greatly appreiciated!!

No cable, it's hydraulic alright. Look up where the pedal box bolt's to the bulkhead, and see if any bolts are missing. Also check the locknut on the pushrod from the pedal to the master cylinder. Master cylinder and slave cylinder are not known for giving trouble

i think there is a return spring on top of the gearbox at the clutch fork, had a similar prob when i first got my legacy fitted new spring fine since.
