Not heard a bad word about them, even got a S202 for sale
Hurst are very good but bloody expensive to deal with and very little negotiation with them on d price, that said there cars are usually top notch, as I said in another thread thinking about going type r/p1 route in d new year if funds allow and will probably travel to uk for one, has anyone seen d tyre r for sale on pistonheads which is in Galway, he is looking 9500 euro for it but looks very clean with full restoration, engine rebuild etc,

You been searching for type r's recently then Tom, ye?

Probably should have been more specific towards a blob eye turning up . Think a good type r for sale is as you put it like a unicorn .

That one on pistonheads for 9500 is a v4 not a v5

How can u tell t h at from d photos duffman, I'm just tryin educate myself on d type r,s , maybe interested in it if still there in d new year, thanks

Seats are v4, steering is v4
And engine has coil pack in centre as v4, the v5/6 has them col pack off to one side

When you going looking for one, put up the links to them and there will be a few lads on here that will know them well and can advise you

I bought a mint 00 ra a while back and it's passed the 10k mark already after engine build ECU and turbo and a few other bits
And it hasn't turned a wheel yet so 10000 for a really mint one needing next to nothing is in a strange way good valu

these cars are getting old, like mine is 16 year old, no rust at all, but yes its been 70% resprayed, how could it not be after that many years. So they will al have paint at some stage, if its a propper job who cares

if i was to sell i wouldnt even know how price it, ive spent that much :facepalm
