Subaru on Raffle

I think I avoid any and all now that don't come with Irish plates - Just the thoughts of the VRT and having that argument with the other half to raffle off one of the kids to pay it ... Joking :p
I've a similar outlook.
I don't bother with any of the real high performance yokes on UK plates... Porche, Lamborghini etc
Absolutely no point. Wouldn't have the car anyway.
And I won't buy a ticket for just any (cheaper) performance machine either unless it's something I'd actually buy myself if I was in the market.
Like, I've never bought a ticket for an EVO, I like em, but id have no interest to drive one if you get me... Same with like.. Golf R etc.. Irish plates or not.. Wouldn't bother.

Subaru and stuff, yes. RX7, twincam, nova, KP Starlet, old Vauxhall, Civics etc.
Anything that wouldn't be 70k or 80k to register lol
I'll buy a ticket for those like.
I have bought a ticket for the odd Irish reg like.... 530d for example.. As would be a nice upgrade to the sh*t box daily.. But that's about all lol

FAR too easy to spend far too much on it.
I'd say the year of covid... I reckon I put 3 or 4k into raffles
Madness
Maybe more

What you say makes absolute sense, but like that I'd hate to take note of how much I've spent.
I tend to enter only if I want it as its not the money I want but the car or that.
But everything you say is spot on.

And yes
"MADNESS" :) :)

You have to get yourself into a golf R man, even just as a passenger in mac's yoke - its absolutely insane. I was speechless with how the dsg operates.
Absolutely nuts car.

I drove one, old member here Jimgti, he went and got one after he sold his Impreza, fine car like, lots of power and all, just not for me at all.
Now, it's probably the same car underneath or very similar, but id also love a crack at an i30N.
I would prefer the look of those and all, Golf R (for me) just doesn't do it. Not to take away from what it is. DSG is fantastic too I remember that, but I still got out of that drive that day thinking jeasus yeah a fine car, but it did not entice me to go hunt one myself if you get me

Rumoured to be 1 of 9???.....What's the craic there?

As far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong, not sure on the number but there was very few white UK STI made. Rare in that sense.
I know very few hawk sti made in white in UK too.
I'm not sure it's 9, but it is less than a 3 digit number anyway
