Supplier Troubles

Hey Folks

Thought id throw this up to see what I should be thinking or doing in relation to a Supplier (not on this site and wont be named)
I sent them my turbo to be exchanged for a new unit from Greddy in Japan and gave him strict instructions that I needed this back by the end of this week at the latest, asked him was this an issue and he said no not at all, loads of time. This was 2 weeks ago, i rang him this morning and asked him where the turbo was. He said he wasnt sure as the delivery from Japan WASNT TRACKED??? He said he thinks its being held by customs, and I thought they informed you if they have it. He said he has an account with an post and if there is duty to be paid it just gets taken out of the account??

Is this Horseshit? Or Does any of this make sense???

Help, What should i do or say to this person as I fear he may be taking the mick.
 
It could be legitimate, customs can hold stuff for weeks if they think they can charge you duty. Give them benefit of the doubt for the moment.
 
dont know why someone would post anything of that size without tracking....
get proof from your dealer that the turbo was posted to japan in the first place...

Have been speaking with him and it was sent via SAL from Japan. He has apologised and offered me a HKS GTSS Turbo to get me through the weekend. So Hopefuly ill get some tracktime! (Not a subaru, and its for Drifting!)
 
Its hard to say looks like hes tryingto do his best see will he keep you updated thats usually a give away if hes honest
