swimming today in craughwell

was heading to gort today but got fed up in traffic... started queing kilcolgan i just said forget this...
 
I drove to Galway from Athlone today. They opened the new motorway (hasn't finished yet tough) to divert the traffic. On the way back came on old roads and I was shocked how bad it is. As reached Balinasloe the the army and garda stoped me to turn back. Seen a tuareg driving through the flood like an idiot :new_2gunsfiring_v1: could be the same donkey.
Realy sorry for those people owns the house got flood. Fingers crossed for Yours @B4 soon
 
How it is now in Craughwell?

I was at the Hodson Bay today. Took a few pictures :

I nearly got trapped today. I was pulling a trailer and dropped down to second to go through what i thought was a long but shallow(-ish :) ) flood but in the middle of it, the trailer started to cause too much of a drag so i dropped down to first but the car started jumping like hell when I released the clutch. So I pressed it again but everytime I let the clutch up, the car rattled so much that my bones were shaking. I just about made it out the other end and I had to 'ride' the clutch a bit before it stopped rattling the car.

Anyway, lesson learned, dont change gears in a flood. Maybe everyone knows that already but i didnt!
